Need (Need, #1)     Need by Carrie Jones

"I wonder for a second if everyone in Bedford, Maine, is insane or just Devyn and Issie, and possibly me.

This is my current read...I'm on page 60 right now. I've so glad I finally got my hands on this book. I've been waiting to read it for some time now. I've got the other two waiting in the wings when I finshed this one.

So, have you read Need? Want to? Give me you thoughts/comments!

"Waiting On" is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I am waiting on:

City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5)

Oh yeah!!! Drool.....

Via Good Reads:
In Book 5: City of Lost Souls, the Shadowhunters struggle to piece together their shattered world after a betrayal by one of their own leaves them reeling.

I haven't read "City of Fallen Angles" yet (I know, crazy!) but I can't wait to get my hands on this book and get caught up with the series. And, that cover is gorgeous (like all the ones before it)!

What are you waiting on this week?

Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3)    "Forever" by Maggie Stiefvater

"Outside the window, Shelby stood for a long moment, staring at the house. I felt, uncannily, that she was looking at us in the kitchen, though we had to be just motionless silhouettes to her, if we were anything."

Hello everyone, I am so sorry for my long absence. I had school stuff to deal with and then I had life stuff to deal with. I have missed posting here. I had a burst of reading through the summer but have slowed down recently. I have been working on my cross stitching a lot and have not been in the reading mood.

Just to let you know here's a list of the books I've read since I last posted:

~ "The Lightening Thief" by Rick Riordan
~ "The Sea of Monsters" by Rick Riordan
~ "The Titan's Curse" by Rick Riordan
~ "Waking Up With the Duke" by Lorraine Heath (it had been a long time since I read a romance novel so I had to give in to the guilty pleasure lol)
~ "The Iron King" by Julie Kagawa
~ "The Iron  Daughter" by Juilie Kagawa
~ "The Iron Queen" by Julie Kagawa (I enjoyed this series...can't wait for "The Iron Knight")
~ "Unearthly" by Cynthia Hand
~ "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater
~ "Linger" by Maggie Stiefvater

Which brings my total to 37 books read this year. I guess that's not to bad. It's the closest I've gotten to my goal of 50.

I am currently reading "Forever" by Maggie Stiefvater.....and it is taking me FOREVER to read! I've been trying to read it for at least a month.

I guess that's all for now. I will try to keep posting more often.
I am so sorry I haven't posted in so long. I was trying to get things together for my College Graduation(!!!) and now I'm looking for a job. Also, I haven't been in a reading mood lately.

I'm still reading The Good, the Bad, and the Undead by Kim Harrison. It so sad...I've haven't turned a page in a month!

I have managed to get though The Vespertine (3/5), Die For Me (4/5), and Bumped (4/5) in the last few weeks.
If you want an in depth review of any of these just let me know. I put a small one on my GoodReads.

I am starting to read Mercy by Rebecca Lim (I have 8 days to finsh it!).
Now, on to Teaser Tuesday!!

"I turn his plam over, and see that Carmen's small hand is lost in it, when the burning begins. Quickly it engulfs her left arm, her torso, all of her, until we are incandecent, rigid in fiery glory"

Hopefully this will make more sense when I get to this point. lol

Summary via GoodReads:

A fallen angel haunted by her past. Yearning for her immortal beloved. Forever searching for answers. Who will show her Mercy?

Mercy has lost herself. She can’t count how many times she’s “woken up” in a new body, and assumed a new life, only to move on again and again. During the day she survives in the human world on instinct and at night her dreams are haunted by him. Mercy’s heart would know him anywhere. But her memory refuses to cooperate.

But this time is different. When Mercy wakes up she meets Ryan, an eighteen year old reeling from the loss of his twin sister who was kidnapped two years ago. Everyone else has given up hope, but Ryan believes his sister is still alive. Using a power she doesn’t fully comprehend, Mercy realizes that Ryan is right. His sister is alive and together they can find her. For the first time since she can remember, Mercy has a purpose; she can help. So she doesn’t understand why the man in her dreams cautions her not to interfere. But as Ryan and Mercy come closer to solving the dark mystery of his sister’s disappearance, danger looms just one step behind.

Will Mercy be able to harness her true self and extraordinary power in time?

The first in a dazzling new series, Mercy masterfully weaves romance, mystery and the supernatural into a spell-binding tale.
